00:01:02: your entrepreneur Your DNA is entrepreneurship?
00:01:07: I listened to a couple of your podcasts really super-interesting.
00:01:10: your background Maybe tell our viewers what was Europe motivation in founding Electra?
00:01:18: well several things but You know mostly.
00:01:22: You know, I had been running a private equity fund in Norway and the Nordics for some period of time.
00:01:28: And what i noticed was that there is lot of grid constrain within the market.
00:01:34: at norway most their market seventy percent cars on the rotor EVs which is crazy.
00:01:40: so it happened.
00:01:41: they electrified super fast.
00:01:43: we notice that there's a ton grid strain um...and so this has problem globally well before AI came out.
00:01:49: but you know a lot demands power on the grid.
00:01:53: You know, in order to... And the other problem was that solar owners were selling back-to-the grid at really low prices.
00:02:02: So there's a few things influencing this and it really was like ... There is light bulb went off.
00:02:10: There are two markets of energy One oil & gas.
00:02:13: In an oil & Gas It's competitive market.
00:02:15: you drill or sell it Whatever!
00:02:18: In electricity markets.
00:02:21: Okay let say I have a solar panel But where am I going to sell that energy?
00:02:25: Am either gonna consume it or i'm gonna sell back to a grid.
00:02:27: What's the price for that grid?
00:02:29: well, The grid is a monopoly.
00:02:30: It can dictate whatever price it wants.
00:02:32: That was driving me a little crazy especially having come from a finance world.
00:02:36: And so that energy-the price points of solar had come down tremendously over the last twenty years and its like three cents a kilowatt To produce them.
00:02:44: but then still needed subsidies.
00:02:46: So that didn't stack up too many.
00:02:48: So as trying figure out what an off take What's a different offtake that could buy this energy for way more money?
00:02:55: And so in Norway, we start thinking about this.
00:02:57: We added charging stations.
00:02:59: You know, charging stations make fifty percent margins.
00:03:01: they're pretty good and norway has it electrified really quickly.
00:03:06: you said all right.
00:03:07: So let's think about that.
00:03:09: but then on the horizon you can see chat GTP coming AI at The demand-for power and we said okay That's when light went out if we actually co-locate, so we have these energy management systems.
00:03:21: We collocate what we call an edge scale data center not a hyper scale data Center but in Edge Scale which is much smaller and we connect that through the internet to a decentralized cloud.
00:03:32: well then The revenue's tremendous And you know our model people are making anywhere from two to ten dollars An hour as opposed to six cents a kilowatt hour by selling back To the grid.
00:03:42: So they unlocked.
00:03:43: for me really was like kind of, you know empowering the solar market or the distributed energy market to drive more revenues so that they could build more infrastructure.
00:03:55: And that's what Lectra unlocks.
00:03:57: it allows edge scale data centers to grow.
00:04:00: Edge Scale we mean twenty megawatts are below and You see this playing out right?
00:04:06: Our thesis has been playing up for some time.
00:04:08: We got our patents.
00:04:09: Our patents cover all distributed energy as it relates to powering.
00:04:12: GPS, TP is DPS.
00:04:13: Sixteen other processing
00:04:14: cards.".
00:04:15: Well we saw this coming where the grid was the bottleneck.
00:04:19: The grid was something that even in Manhattan facing rolling brownouts and blackouts before the end of this year.
00:04:27: So if you're going add a thousand new data centers into the system That's gonna crash It!
00:04:33: How do come up with a sensible plan?
00:04:35: Because they still want be competitive on AI.
00:04:37: But how can get that power?
00:04:39: So yeah, so that's really the motivation and it was nice to.
00:04:43: we just come back from NVIDIA's conference GTC in Silicon Valley about three weeks ago.
00:04:48: And met Jensen Yang and the whole group and It was good to hear that it wasn't chips That Was The Constraint but power?
00:04:57: And it was the first time its like.
00:04:59: now our thesis is validated!
00:05:00: So you know thats Really Nice But it Really Comes From you know, feeling motivated to help solar owners and the community generate money out of an underutilized asset which is energy.
00:05:14: It's amazing!
00:05:16: And Carl who would say your customers are?
00:05:18: Are they more private companies or governments...
00:05:22: We actually have two different clients rather.
00:05:26: so um The way Electra is we have Electra Energy then we have Electric Cloud So we actually Electra energy.
00:05:34: Our customers are like companies, like Sun Run or EG-Four.
00:05:38: EG Four is both an investor and a battery maker in Texas.
00:05:42: they have one hundred fifty thousand site locations where we can deploy our EdgeScale data centers to those site locations And get installations.
00:05:49: just give you a sense though AWS has up at thirty global locations.
00:05:54: eg four has a hundred fifty thousands.
00:05:56: So Sun Run has a million sites location.
00:05:59: so when your talking about edge scale datacenters In that installation Those are our customers.
00:06:03: That's where we get our power from and they benefit from eighty percent revenue to their host site, We call them energy hosts.
00:06:13: so if you think about it If Google gave eighty percent of the revenue like YouTube To a utility grid operator Holy smokes how much money would be making?
00:06:24: So this allows them to grow as customers.
00:06:27: But then our other set of customers on the Lecture Cloud side.
00:06:31: Our Lecture cloud is built and run by our head of cloud, we call him Cloud Jesus internally but his name's Jerry Gutierrez.
00:06:39: he built the IBM AI cloud.
00:06:41: those customers are developers.
00:06:44: so you know it's really that's the offtake.
00:06:47: So our energy hosts providing power to our Lecture clouds who have developers.
00:06:54: We're kind of marketing to do different segments, but whatever.
00:07:00: That's part of the business.
00:07:01: so...
00:07:02: And Carl where do you sell growth markets for your business?
00:07:07: Is it?
00:07:08: Europe is at Asia USA.
00:07:13: Well good news is grids are so crappy all over the globe So we really could be anywhere.
00:07:20: You know again The central problem is power.
00:07:22: And when you think about it, so the United States is demanding a tremendous amount of power for AI data centers.
00:07:29: Right now the lead time for AWS is twenty four months and then actually there's moratoriums that are being put in.
00:07:35: That would take three years.
00:07:38: So we've started in The United States as this competitive strategy As an alternative to Hyperscale.
00:07:44: But Europe Is A Close.
00:07:46: Second.
00:07:46: Europe is Actually Really Good Market For Us because there's already, like in America we have five million homes with solar installed.
00:07:54: In Europe they're seventeen million homes plus theres a carbon tax.
00:07:57: our cloud is one hundred percent carbon free.
00:08:01: so we were powered you know and actually trademarks something called Carbon Free Compute.
00:08:05: You'll start seeing it on videos.
00:08:07: its the logo that goes in that certifies your video images are carbon-free.
00:08:12: but then beyond that The real question is Like in places like Guatemala in Honduras, Latin America, Bangladesh.
00:08:20: Those grid systems are so terrible.
00:08:22: you cannot build hyperscale data centers at those locations.
00:08:25: So what do you do?
00:08:27: You have to find distributed energy resources.
00:08:31: That's exactly...those are markets that we want.
00:08:33: influence the long run.
00:08:35: and then who gets there first?
00:08:37: It is another Huawei situation.
00:08:39: Does a US company with Western values get their first?
00:08:43: or Friends from the Far East getting there, you know.
00:08:47: and who actually controls the AI markets.
00:08:50: So that's something to think about.
00:08:52: Does political issues also play a role here like geopolitical risk factors for your business?
00:09:00: Oh
00:09:01: Yeah I mean just take Iran For example The hottest topic You probably could think of right now.
00:09:07: What did Iran do To the UAE?
00:09:09: They targeted hyperscale data centers.
00:09:12: they bombed two actually three, one in Bahrain.
00:09:16: So I'm part of something called Business Executives for National Security.
00:09:19: Um...I am friends with a gentleman uh General Timothy Ray.
00:09:23: he's five-star general.
00:09:24: He ran CENTCOM and about month ago we had breakfast just talking about you know risks and whatever And i was like yeah what if they would hype everyone?
00:09:34: is AI going to take over the world right?
00:09:37: Not if you bomb data centers goes away pretty quick They don't grow back.
00:09:42: So this is vulnerable critical infrastructure.
00:09:44: Two weeks later, Iranians bomb AWS site locations.
00:09:49: so what you're really talking about?
00:09:51: Is the grid is critical infrastructure.
00:09:53: You've seen Ukraine attack or sorry Russia attacked Ukraine's grid.
00:09:57: then we're stacking on top hyper scale data centers to that fragile grid Like no there needs to be another model.
00:10:04: so edge-scale data centers The beauty of Edge Scale Data Centers.
00:10:07: they can be built small They don't...you know disguise data centers.
00:10:13: You can build fake ones, so there's a lot of capability range when you start thinking about edge scale.
00:10:19: So yeah that is one the geopolitical issues which are more like direct national security.
00:10:26: I think for commercial it smart to think about resilience too.
00:10:30: Like if that hyperscale data center goes down what am i going do for resilience?
00:10:34: And we're seeing more in the commercial market.
00:10:36: and just for data protection What do I do about my data?
00:10:42: And so a lot of business has been slow to adopt AI because they don't want their data going to AWS or Meta, you know OpenAI.
00:10:50: So building on-prem is the way to go.
00:10:54: and what we're seeing where We have a partnership with Dell computers Building edge scale data centers on prem.
00:11:00: You know with solar batteries now i can outsource open source LLMs run that locally keep my own data on-prem, whether that's for security reasons or monetize.
00:11:11: So it gives a lot of optionality.
00:11:15: The way Dell thinks about it is like we've gone to the cloud over time but I think were coming back little bit to on prem for security reason.
00:11:21: so
00:11:22: Carl you mentioned before the impact off AI on your industry can use?
00:11:28: Or mention couple examples.
00:11:30: how does AI impact especially?
00:11:33: you're the energy sector, maybe can elaborate on that a little bit.
00:11:38: Well I mean i'll just give a direct example like think about what a hyperscale does to the energy market.
00:11:46: so you sign up a hyperschaler onto.
00:11:50: The grid was designed for consistent base load To provide homes and businesses whatever And for a long time there is fairly consistent draw.
00:11:59: We put on renewables and what renewables do is they don't add inertia to the grid, unfortunately.
00:12:05: So like but there's pat There's electricity.
00:12:08: that are in this a difference.
00:12:09: electricity burst power.
00:12:11: Now hyper scale data center.
00:12:13: imagine New York City Every now again decides to turn all their lights on and turn it off again.
00:12:19: Okay A hyperscale data center goes from twenty percent base load to eighty percent baseload.
00:12:24: In seconds The grid has to stay at sixty Hertz.
00:12:28: so it draws all that energy and puts back.
00:12:31: So, is like a massive shock!
00:12:34: And then you know if you do that in your house... If put too much draw on your electricity the breaker trips right?
00:12:39: Shuts down whole house.
00:12:41: You have to go into basement, turn it up.
00:12:43: Similar thing with the grid..If there's too much Draw and it trips circuit breaker for the grid Holy
00:12:50: shit!!
00:12:51: Then thats when you get rolling brown out some blackouts.
00:12:53: So the architecture of the grid was really not meant to support all these hyperscalers, and that's why we say there is not enough power.
00:13:00: There are still forty percent capacity.
00:13:02: but it isn't like a computer program where you just draw on it put it back, drawn up with it back.
00:13:06: That power has come from somewhere.
00:13:08: so yeah I mean Hyperscale data centers have been real challenge.
00:13:12: We're saying its an engineering problem.
00:13:18: AI has tremendously affected energy markets And that's what is giving rise to Electra's competitive advantage, I mean this how we're able build.
00:13:29: Because of the disruption that AI has made on... It was like before we had highways.
00:13:36: you know everyone's on these horse paths.
00:13:38: it trying put a bunch of Ferraris and stuff in a course path.
00:13:43: The infrastructure doesn't compute or match with demand for assets.
00:13:49: So huge transformation.
00:13:51: Carl, you are an entrepreneur by heart.
00:13:55: I mean even as a child we showed this interest in entrepreneurship.
00:13:59: so i would like to talk about entrepreneurship with you.
00:14:04: What do you think?
00:14:05: Are the challenges from building a company from scratch to scaling it globally what your doing now?
00:14:11: maybe can tell us our audience little bit of that.
00:14:17: Well...I think You have really nice wife to support you.
00:14:24: It's a collaborative effort, trust me!
00:14:27: You know I think it's easier to be an entrepreneur when your young just say that but yeah...but you have to know when you sign up for it.
00:14:37: everyone is like oh failure is the good thing.
00:14:39: no its not..its absolute crap if you fail a bunch of times over and over.
00:14:47: It's more of an instinct like a comedian.
00:14:50: I think real entrepreneurs you can separate Real entrepreneurs from Like faux entrepreneurs, it's kind of like that You know when you see a star list comedian?
00:15:00: You know they're funny But probably anyone could get up and do jokes, you know what i mean.
00:15:04: So there is-I Think There Is A Difference Between People Who Are Entrepreneurs Because They
00:15:08: Have To Be
00:15:10: And Then Ones That Just Want to be.
00:15:11: Total Difference!
00:15:13: I Can't Help It.
00:15:15: Just since the time I was a kid.
00:15:16: I had a paper route, I was like how many customers can i get?
00:15:19: How Many things can you know?
00:15:20: that Was what drove me.
00:15:22: and um You Know.
00:15:23: then I did work for a firm For a brief time until I started my broker dealer But I had an angle in That broker-dealer.
00:15:30: Um, you know.
00:15:31: And Then I Had An Angle With My hedge fund.
00:15:32: I had An Angled with The Reinsurance Company That I Started.
00:15:36: Not all Successful By The Way!
00:15:39: There's Several Elements In Entrepreneurship.
00:15:41: Is The Market Right For The Current time period?
00:15:45: is the team, right?
00:15:47: You know you can have like.
00:15:49: I related to movies because we were talking about movies before.
00:15:53: There was a movie that Johnny Depp wasn't in and he came out during.
00:15:59: it was a Disney Movie Starlist thing...you had just come off Pirates of the Caribbean.
00:16:04: It's a movie called Conrad.
00:16:07: Ever heard of it?
00:16:08: No!
00:16:09: Right?
00:16:09: Because
00:16:11: maybe not sure
00:16:13: but guess what happened COVID hit.
00:16:17: So no one went to the movies theaters, The distribution just absolutely failed and it didn't make a return on its money.
00:16:23: so that's an element where you had Disney Johnny Depp all the right elements but the market Just fell out from underneath him You know?
00:16:31: As an entrepreneur you can't control All these things...you're lucky if get three out of five Things That work for you With Lectra.
00:16:39: this is why I think It such An opportunity because i feel blessed Because he realized Something to do with your ideas and you're entrepreneurship, but it also has to do With market timing.
00:16:49: It has to Do what the team?
00:16:50: You find has To do is their willingness to put in The time an effort uh, you know to actually build a company And it takes A lot of Time and Effort and I would say you Know.
00:17:00: Also i think a good entrepreneur knows does know how to fail fast though Kind of knows How to get Their ego out Of the way.
00:17:06: and just you know let's do the work.
00:17:09: What Is the Work that Gets us too you know, selling whatever the product or service is into the market.
00:17:14: And then not having a monologue in your head where it's only you that has the idea.
00:17:19: and when you build a company its dialogue with-with your customers You start working an idea...and It kind of like a joke!
00:17:28: You tell them first time did it work?
00:17:30: What was their response?
00:17:31: Then they get this feedback Oh thats what I need The timing..what it needs to end.
00:17:35: How do we find it?
00:17:36: Its same thing.
00:17:37: Companies are like living organisms that need to be refined companies.
00:17:41: They're not a thing.
00:17:42: they're process You know.
00:17:44: and so you have to refine that process constantly And it has to be adaptable, you know.
00:17:49: one thing Elon Musk does right is he runs all his company's almost like a startup All the time.
00:17:54: So you are ready to pivot and change as the market changes?
00:17:58: And so creating an architecture in process That's what I've learned from growing companies.
00:18:04: i've had In the past rigid processes Yeah, it's garbage.
00:18:08: So yeah you gotta move on.
00:18:10: so flexibility is important.
00:18:13: a certain modesty maybe humility to be open to feedback from customers constantly adapt adopt improve?
00:18:22: Yeah I mean Jeff Bezos and i don't mean to quote all the richest yahooz
00:18:27: out there but
00:18:29: you know Jeff Bezo did something ring true.
00:18:31: um And he was like listen The only thing I'm focusing on his customer service If I can give these people, which sounds so basic.
00:18:39: You know you think there's some interesting formula or whatever?
00:18:42: No it is the empathy for your user.
00:18:45: It is putting yourself in their shoes.
00:18:47: What do they want?
00:18:49: what makes Their life better?
00:18:51: how could They wake up and Your products make their Life easier?
00:18:54: that's what you should be thinking not?
00:18:56: How am i gonna Be cool?
00:18:58: And how Is my company going to be Cool?
00:19:00: you're Gonna be cool if you Do write by The customer every time and so I took that to heart.
00:19:07: Sounds cheesy but it's totally true, totally true!
00:19:10: So always listening to the customer attentively then basically trend using this information and improving their product?
00:19:20: Yeah you've experienced yourself... You can go a hotel where there is amazing service or bad service And everytime even if its four star vs five-star If they had really good service Like, well I actually prefer to be there.
00:19:35: You know?
00:19:35: And it's...I think is true with everything hotdog stand can be crappy or could great pizza place.
00:19:41: Taylor
00:19:42: clothes yeah
00:19:44: right so and who love their product loved what they do.
00:19:46: It shows you now.
00:19:48: So
00:19:51: Carl i would like to talk also a little bit about the political situation in that geopolitical climate.
00:19:57: we already addressed at A Little Bit.
00:20:00: Are There Any other hurdles like concerning the whole climate politics issues that also affect your business, for example regulation government regulations.
00:20:12: Can you talk a little bit about that?
00:20:16: In the US it's really weird.
00:20:18: I mean i think everyone once Trump got voted in just stopped caring about the environment.
00:20:27: Just kind of...the conversation died.
00:20:29: It was like green, green ESG get to net zero.
00:20:33: Nah you know just kind of ended but no I think Democrats may win the midterms now.
00:20:41: i'm being local in the United States right now.
00:20:44: it is a challenge because its kinda dumb.
00:20:46: our energy policy all together.
00:20:48: electrons photons they don't really care who's in power And all we do know is that we need more of it.
00:20:56: Now, one of the things that's actually helping our business in some ways Is now The power from hyperscale data centers That getting taken off-the-grid It coming at the expense of ratepayers.
00:21:08: So electricity prices in Virginia jumped a hundred twenty five or a hundred fifty percent.
00:21:14: In Oregon they've jumped to a hundred percent.
00:21:16: so certain regions They're really skyrocketing and Virginia its called datacenter alley.
00:21:21: The other thing is, in Phoenix they successfully kicked out some hyperscalars because there was a water resource.
00:21:26: You know these hypers scalars take on lot of water resources.
00:21:29: So what's happening?
00:21:29: In the U.S.. Is that?
00:21:30: um... There has been alot moratoriums On hyperscaleers.
00:21:34: so in this state of New York where I am Liz Krueger is democratic centers proposing three year moratorium on hyperscale data centers That defined as twenty megawatts or above.
00:21:43: Well thats good for us Because we build twenty megawatt and below And were distributed energy.
00:21:48: We don't take up water resources and we're green.
00:21:50: So, We tick a lot of boxes.
00:21:52: but the other thing that we do is enable energy hosts to make money out this.
00:21:57: so as Virginians right now if they are utilizing grid their energy prices go up.
00:22:02: If they had Electra Edge Scale data center in there house They could use their solar and profit from all these things.
00:22:08: They can actually sell power generate compute power and pay eighty percent revenue for it.
00:22:14: That's model wins.
00:22:16: Ironically We are cheaper because we don't have the same infrastructure costs as a hyperscaler, but were green.
00:22:23: So we figured out of business model that wins you know powered off of Distributed energy.
00:22:29: so we've figured this out independent Of The legislation or you know whatever?
00:22:36: But I mean You know personally.
00:22:37: I don't I have to navigate both sides.
00:22:40: I think the Trump administration thinks that SMRs like i've met the national grid resilience uh, commission in DC.
00:22:48: It's run by Jared Egan and the really smart team.
00:22:51: actually um but they think that SMRs are going to take over in like five to seven years.
00:22:56: so The Trump administration is trying to cut everything They can To add a significant amount of base load through SMR.
00:23:02: But...the problem with That Is Like There's-The Industry Is Just Not There.
00:23:06: Yet it's probably gonna Take Longer Than That.
00:23:09: Um..like I've talked to top private equity houses who invest in SMRs.
00:23:14: One, I don't know if i can say who they are but it's a three-letter private equity fund enormous... They usually pick a target five years out If their going to go after them and haven't done so yet.
00:23:24: So which means?
00:23:25: And the problem with SMR is that There isn't huge labor force.
00:23:31: You were saying earlier about Germany and there sort of nuclear issues.
00:23:35: But we havent had nuclear engineers since the seventies or eighties.
00:23:38: No apprenticeship.
00:23:40: So the labour force might.
00:23:41: SMR breaks down in North Dakota.
00:23:43: Who's gonna come and fix it, right?
00:23:44: So Going back to your question though I think Europe the climate sort of legislation is much more progressive And so I think yeah, thank you electro would do great there.
00:23:56: You've got still have carbon tax.
00:23:57: we still have all this other stuff.
00:23:58: I think that would empower energy host users in Europe.
00:24:02: I also think that will help businesses To cut on their costs because they do have.
00:24:07: if they are using AI hyperscalars They're going to have a carbon
00:24:11: tax
00:24:11: on what's used so we can help them save money.
00:24:15: Carl, would you be also a potential threat to any old-school industries with this technology?
00:24:21: You know the new industry if they're expanding there I mean are you gonna step on anybody's toes

00:24:31: it's hard to say i think were just adding another capability and capacity as opposed to disrupting completely.
00:24:40: Uber came in, disrupted the taxi market.
00:24:42: Fine there's only so many drivers whatever but for energy we're in an ever-expanding market like since the invention of the light bulb electricity use has just skyrocketed and each one of the machines that comes after robotics automation The demand for power and energy is just.
00:24:58: it's a bigger and bigger market.
00:24:59: So I think what were doing?
00:25:01: Is creating an architecture in grid.
00:25:03: two point oh to meet the demands.
00:25:06: And so, you know we're not against utility companies at all.
00:25:09: In fact I empathize with them.
00:25:10: to maintain base load and get power to these folks it's critical.
00:25:14: So We've been able To build With Them.
00:25:17: But the understanding that yeah probably take some of your market share because they can't Build The way were building Hyperscalers also their Building in a certain Way where we Can add additional capacity?
00:25:29: And there is room for partnership.
00:25:30: i come to the Market thinking in Partnership.
00:25:33: think about trying to beat the crap out of people.
00:25:35: That's not what I'm thinking, if it does come toe-to-toe let's bro it in Wall Street.

00:25:44: towards the end we also have a couple questions and some more personal question about yourself.
00:25:50: so i always like to ask my guess is also which one would you pick?
00:26:06: Yeah, you can pick a super power now.
00:26:08: and which one would you pick?

00:26:22: um i Think that we go back in time get The Gray Sports Almanac And then bet on right.

00:26:32: so I think to be honest with You what I would like to be able do is go faster with the company, if that could be a superpower.
00:26:41: To get...to build out the architecture because i know it already exists but to get the hearts and minds of people understanding how energy operates.
00:26:49: again you know?
00:26:50: And so I know that's kind of a lowly super power-I'm not going to wish for just all our wishes or more wishes which my daughter always wishes to get out of this block mindset, just how energy has been.
00:27:05: And think about energy in the future and how to utilize AI.
00:27:10: for good you know?
00:27:12: Right now the narrative is that AI will take your job first then kill humanity.
00:27:18: I don't who's running their PR but thats not a great vision for our future.
00:27:22: Our Vision Is That AI Can Actually Live In Your House Live On-Prem That You Control.
00:27:28: these are your bots.
00:27:30: This is something, it's not Jeff Bezos in your house that's sending them to you.
00:27:34: this is your bot and the coolest part of what we've been able do is at site locations like chicken farms or other things.
00:27:43: automation Caterpillar makes these tractors automated so we can actually run software to help automate those tractors allowing then the farmer just generate money from their energy but control entire environment.
00:27:58: So, you know trying to push that narrative as fast as possible.
00:28:02: I guess it's not much of a superpower but thats kind my wishful thinking.

00:28:11: and call which autobiography would you buy?
00:28:16: You know...I've read Elon Musk's autobiography.
00:28:19: It is pretty good!
00:28:21: He actually has very difficult life.
00:28:25: People always think he just had a tonne money so its easy?
00:28:29: I don't think so.
00:28:35: He's got some problems, you know?
00:28:37: Do take inspiration actually from other autobiographies like Thomas Jefferson.
00:28:43: That sounds so cheesy!
00:28:44: Actually there is a comedian who says if your reading history too much then its early onset republicanism So your destined to become a Republican If you're reading about the Founding Fathers.
00:28:54: but To be honest with you, Thomas Jefferson was an awesome president.
00:28:58: He was very forward thinking, you know in seventeen eighty he actually liberated Virginia from slavery Very early on.
00:29:06: but he was an inventor.
00:29:08: It was a new bureaucratic entrepreneurism helped build and write legislation to do things To move things forward.
00:29:15: And also it is an inventor at the same time which gets little known credit.
00:29:19: So I think that this world You have to think about how can be useful in variety ways as business leader legislative-wise, pushing minds forward and getting to think independently.
00:29:32: I think what Thomas Jefferson did best was making things the natural rights of man—what are my natural rights?
00:29:38: What can i do as a person to make my community better have duty to my
00:29:42: country?".
00:29:43: And this sort of stuff.
00:29:44: but you know when you were able to build at your own home and build your own energy and built all those things...I think a lot of good in America, so I kind of love reading
00:29:57: about that.
00:29:58: Carl do you have a mission statement or credo sort of a motto?
00:30:02: You live by...
00:30:03: You know.
00:30:04: um i think if you can turn energy into opportunity it's pretty awesome!
00:30:10: I think Energy is an asset.
00:30:12: If That Can Be..I Know It Does Not Like A Real Wake Up In The Morning.
00:30:15: Energy Is An Asset.
00:30:17: But Thats What
00:30:17: I Kind Of Think Of Our Company Our Companies.
00:30:21: Motto Has Been Powering Intelligence because we're both, it's combining artificial intelligence and the power market.
00:30:30: So what are we doing every day?
00:30:32: We're taking power where backbone of intelligence is energy that's power.
00:30:36: so we think about this constantly as how can you use energy for multiple things in domesticated?
00:30:44: yeah now thats kind a mantra I guess of
00:30:46: ours.
